PHILOSOPHY.
1. Collective/Belonging
The first pillar represents community, building a place of connection through monthly events of various types - from casual mingle evenings, film screenings, feedback sessions, to workshops, skill sharing and more. This would be co-organized by the members themselves, reflecting the direct wants and needs of the community. The intention for Float.Collective is to function as a safe space for growth, in the creative field and beyond.
2. Craft/Becoming
The second pillar highlights work in the film industry mainly focusing on the online pipeline Float.Craft where open calls for upcoming projects are shared with the Float.Collective. Every member has the opportunity to take on offered jobs, as well as share their own work if in search for a helping hand. By joining projects under one name, the aim is to provide more credibility, visibility and opportunity for the community of Float.
